NEWS
FROM THE BOARD
This new
feature will be included in eNews after each Board
Meeting.
The Board are
looking at ways to monitor play on these pleasant summer evenings.
Be aware there may be green fee and membership checks after hours.
We suspect some social players are getting a ‘free ride.’ Your
ideas and feedback are welcome.
We are re
instituting a long forgotten membership category - 6 month
membership once used extensively by the football / cricketing
fraternity.
We are
pursuing Reciprocal Rights with Merimbula, Eden and Moree Golf
Clubs. We will update as news comes in.
The drop zone
adjacent to 5th bunker is included in the Local Rules.
There should be no confusion. Once in the bunker proceed to the
drop zone. It’s not such a tough shot!
Be aware of
the Aygee Classic events coming up. Mens: Saturday and Sunday Jan
28 29. Ladies Wednesday February 01.
The Traralgon
Plate is Sunday January 22.
Harvey Norman
have changed the conditions of sponsorship. The small electrical
gift vouchers have been replaced by a 10% store wide discount on
most items, including already discounted sale items. There is a
$200 minimum purchase. As with any sponsorship, feedback can be
delivered only through the Club, not directly to the staff of a
sponsor.
We are water
testing the algal bloom with the view of preventing future
problems. This can be quite complex, but the additional knowledge
will be most helpful. The ‘thatch collapse,’ on greens 7 and 16 are
responding to treatment.
A record
number (we might guess) of new members in the December /January
period. 28 new members. Please make them feel welcome.
Current
membership is 670.
Enjoy your
Golf Ian Whitehead. Board Secretary
