The Stuart Appleby
Golf Foundation conducts events for junior golfers each
year.
Traralgon Golf
Club juniors are part of this Foundation and we enter juniors in
events conducted by the Stuart Appleby Foundation
regularly.
On October 1st,
2010 three junior members of the Traralgon Golf Club
participated in the Stuart Appleby Teams
event, Katie Mackenzie, Luke Graham and Liam Ware. The
weather was perfect and Spring Valley Golf Club was in
excellent condition. It was a par round and the
scores were hard to beat, with the top teams rounds adding to
+28. The Traralgon team came into the clubhouse with square
score which was unfortunately not enough to get them through to
further rounds.
Katie, Luke and Liam would
like to thank both the Traralgon Junior committee for sponsoring
them, and also thanks to the parents who volunteered to get up at
unspeakable hours of the morning and who chauffeured them to
and from Spring Valley.

Championship. 2009
Ryan Ward, Sean Mackenzie,
Josh Hall and Luke Graham played in the Final at Yarra Yarra
Golf Club on December 16th 2009.
The conditions were very
tough and hot and the team struggled but they enjoyed
themselves.

compete in the 9 hole modified stroke event final at
Riversdale Golf Club, Mount Waverley on Wednesday, January 27,

Valley was a tough test of golf on Friday 25th September, for the
Club Teams Championship Term 3 qualifying event. 10 of the 11
participating teams struggled against the fierce wind and rain, but
the Traralgon No2 team shone through with a magnificent +7
team score. Traralgon have been fabulous supporters of this event
over the years - congratulations on a great
performance!!"
