JUNIOR NEWS
On October 1st,
2010 three junior members of the Traralgon Golf
Club participated in the Stuart Appleby Teams
event, Katie Mackenzie, Luke Graham and Liam Ware. The
weather was perfect and Spring Valley Golf Club was in
excellent condition. It was a par round and the scores
were hard to beat, with the top teams rounds adding to +28.
The Traralgon team came into the clubhouse with square score which
was unfortunately not enough to get them through to further
rounds.
Katie, Luke and Liam would
like to thank both the Traralgon Junior committee for sponsoring
them, and also thanks to the parents who volunteered to get up at
unspeakable hours of the morning and who chauffeured them to
and from Spring Valley.
Two junior members of
Traralgon Golf Club recently attended a VGA golf camp in Mirboo
North. The camp ran for five days, four of which were
coaching and other activities such as course etiquette and a
rules night, on the last day they played a tournament. Both
Sam Caffery and Sean Mackenzie played well and both would like to
thank Traralgon Golf Club Junior Committee for sponsoring
them.

Congratulations to Traralgon
Junior Katie Mackenzie who, with Elly Briggs and Sarah Hall,
represented West Gippsland in the Kay Malook Shield event in
Bendigo this week (March 29-31 March, 2010), winning 2nd
division.
